Kylie Canales has been a part of the dance world since the age of 4. She grew up in Temecula, CA as a competition dancer with a small dance studio where she competed throughout Southern California. Her first style of dance was ballet, tap, and Irish dance. When she was 12, she won the World Championship of Irish Dance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A few years later, she began to pursue ballet and spent many summers in New York City training with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and the Joffrey Ballet School.

She landed her first professional dance gig when she was 19 as a dancer in “Snoopy’s Merriest Tree Lighting Ceremony” at Knott’s Berry Farm in Southern California. That same year she was hired to perform in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA for Disneyland’s 60th Diamond Celebration float. She performed for a few small professional theater companies in California as a dancer in “MEMPHIS!” and “Beauty and the Beast”. In late 2016, she was hired as a dancer with the Walt Disney Company at The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. She performed in “A Christmas Fantasy”, “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade”, “Main Street Electrical Parade”, “Paint the Night”, “Frightfully Fun Parade”, and the new “Magic Happens” parade that debuted in late February 2020. Kylie had also made a return to Knott’s Berry Farm and opened a refurbished show as a can can dancer in “The Birdcage Theatre Musical Revue”.

4 years, 6 parades, and 42 roles, the Disneyland Resort was shut down in March 2020 due the pandemic. Kylie had a contract with Norwegian Cruise Line set to start in the middle of March but it was unfortunately cancelled due to the pandemic, as well.

Kylie has 6 years of teaching experience in the styles of ballet, pre-pointe, pointe, tap, jazz, and contemporary to kids ages 3-18. Kylie is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
